There is a Lad here!

"Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons", said Peter (Acts 10:34).

There is so much we must understand about the characters of God. One of which is the equal and unbiased way in which He deals with man regardless of who he is. His dealings with man is no respecter of who the man is, gender, nationality, cultural background or age! What matters to God is the revelation of Him being GOD and GOD alone. This is such that man has to come under his sovereign lordship, and whatever His counsel speaks remains final.
Something very powerful happened in the book of John chapter 6 and that's what we will be looking at in this post. I want you to pay attention as you read through.

John 6:1-11
Emphasis on verses 5,9 and 10.

5. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

9. There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

10. And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

In summary, this was the time when a great multitude followed Jesus all around even to the mountain. Why? It is because they saw His miracles. A time came when it was expected that the people should be fed with bread. A time when they all hungered and needed food. Then Jesus asked a question "where shall we buy bread, that these ones may eat?"

There was a call that required the supply of bread! There was a need for man to arise and give bread to the hungry. This is symbolic to our time and generation. A generation that hungers and thirsts for a man to bring RESULTS to the table. This is the time when a generation is hungry for the Living Bread! The revelation of the Person of Christ to the world. The efforgence and power of the kingdom in its rawness! The Bible says in Romans 8:19 that "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God". The whole multitude had to follow Jesus even to the mountain because they saw results and they desired more!

"Where shall we buy bread that these ones may eat!?" We must understand that there is a clarion call from the heavens in search of men! Men that can present bread to the hungry generation!  Ezekiel 22:30, God speaking, "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none". There is always a seeking in the heavens for a man that can make the counsel of the heavens gain expression on the earth realm. A man that can make Jesus REAL to the world! A man that can provide bread to the multitude!

This is a generation that needs bread! Our various sectors need bread! Our families, our nation, our generation... They all hunger for bread! Anywhere there is so much demonstration of pain, hunger, agony, wickedness, it is because there is no bread! Jesus said "I am the bread of Life! (John 6:48) He said (in verse 51) "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the LIFE of the world. Therefore, when there is bread, there is LIFE! But the question here is "Where shall we buy bread that these ones may eat?".

The wisdom here is, Jesus knew that there is no way they could have bread enough for the people unless HE himself (the living bread) makes bread available! Verse 6 says, "And this he said to prove him(Philip): for he himself knew what HE WOULD DO".  The expectation of Jesus was to see a man or men to bring forward what they have and lay it down. He was only looking for committment and sacrifice of the little they have for him to work with, and Andrew said, "THERE IS A LAD HERE!"

A lad? You mean, just a lad? Amidst the multitude? Where are the men? Where are the women? Where are the older ones? Where are the other younger ones? A small child amidst the multitude came out and gave out ALL he had. Despite the fact that he didn't have much. Even the disciples said, what is this amidst so many? What will your five loaves and two fish do? In this generation, what will your little commitment do? But Jesus replied "MAKE THE MEN SIT DOWN".

They might not want to sit down, but make them sit! Their pride might not want them to sit because a small child was the one that gave all he had, but make them sit! God is no respecter of persons! You must understand that it is only men that can give all they have to God that will MATTER in this time! If you are too big to be committed, to give your sacrifice to the kingdom, your relevance will be so minimal!

We are in a Kairos time when God is looking for men, irrespective of who they are, that will be willing to give away all they have for His agenda to be birthed in this time. God wants to make bread available, but he needs men that can give all they have!  The question is "Are you the lad or the men"? And listen, the expectation of God is not to find a person that has more than enough or is qualified, it is to find a person that is willing to GIVE ALL!!!
Make them sit down! They are not worthy of relevance! Listen, this is the mystery behind relevance in the kingdom. Unless a person is willing to give all to God, he is not going to experience true greatness. God told Apostle Joshua Selman, "If you can let the world see me, there is nothing I won't give you".

This is a cry to everyone of us. We are in a time when hunger has spread his wings to the people. A time when the heart of men pants for results! "Where shall we buy bread?". It is not about being qualified, neither is it about how much you have, but it is about your willingness to give all of you to God and His agenda! Your readiness and willingness to give all supercedes every other thing! Jesus collected the commitment and sacrifice of that child and multiplied it! It became the SACRIFICE Jesus needed to make bread available for the people.

If you can give ALL you have, there is nothing God cannot do with your life in your generation. He will multiply your sacrifice and make it a wonder for the world to see! If you can give your time, if you can give your possessions, relationship, passion, ambition and substance, there is no height you won't reach. This is because anytime you give all you have for His agenda and will to come to pass, you will also be lifted! Unless you are ready to lose ALL, you cannot gain all. In this time, only men that are ready to lose all will matter! Others will sit down!

Where are the lads that will give all they have to the agenda of the kingdom? In this time that your family, your society, your community, your nation and your world hungers for bread, can they say of you, "THERE IS A LAD HERE!!!"
