It is of outright truth that the world we live in and every components of its set are subjected to the authority and governance of a particular realm of existence; the realm of the invisible. It's just a pity that many people have yet come to the understanding or acceptance of this TRUTH because of some theological understanding they have related with in their life time.

Whether we like it or not, the invisible controls and governs the visible! It's a system of operation that endorses every atom of reality in this physical realm. The concept of the invisible is as wide as its eternal component but the aim of this write up is to open our eyes to one solid truth of it.

As believers that are still on a journey to maturity and the fullness of the stature of Christ, we find out that, some things are still not right with us. Some things are still not subscribing to the expectation of God in our lives. But yet, just like I said earlier, it's a journey to perfection, hence, our imperfections are allowed to be on their way to the factory where Christ-Like is formed.

One of the powerful thing we are still struggling with as believers is the ability to focus on what is invisible. Hence, there is so much struggle in us between focusing our completely on what is invisible or what is visible to our physical senses! Some times, we claim to believe, endorse and subscribe to things that are divine, invisible and unseen to us. Another times, our circumstances and physical experiences beat us down flat and we begin to shift our gaze again to what we can see.

Therefore, this imbalance slow us down on our journey to becoming like Christ. Because the truth is, until we fix our complete and perfect gaze on HIM; The Christ, "our becoming" will not be accomplished early. 2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." As we keep BEHOLDING; It is a continuous tense! It's not what we do today and stop tomorrow. The potency of that formula is located in the consistency of carrying it out.

Hence, for the purpose of this write up, by his grace, briefly, I will be answering the question,"What is in the invisible?" In the invisible, lies what?? When we know what is in the invisible, we can fully channel our gaze to it and stop focusing on what is visible or physical.

2 Kings 2:1-13

This was a story of Elijah(on the day he was to be taken up to heaven) and Elisha . We are familiar to the fact that Elisha followed Elisha from Gilgal down to Bethel. He refused to go back after Elijah pleaded with him to do so several times in different spots.

When they passed Jordan, Elijah asked Elisha a question which was definitely based on the consistency and faithfulness of being a follower that Elisha exhibited! "What can I do for you before I am taken away"?

And Elisha answered, "Let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me" (Verse 9). Then, Elijah gave a conditional statement; Although it is hard, yet, it is possible. But only "if thou can see me when I am being taken from thee!". Note, Elijah didn't say, "if only you can see my mantle fall or when my mantle fall, then you will have it". No.

The condition given in that process is very clear. "If you can see me when I am being taken". Meaning, on a neutral ground, my going will not be physical! It's not something that will be visible! But if you can see it! If you can see the process! If you can see the invisible, then you will have the double portion! In the invisible lies the power! In the invisible lies the capacity you seek for. Lies the anointing, power and grace you seek for.

Verse 11 says, "And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.". And watch what verse 12 says
"And Elisha SAW IT, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces".

And Elisha SAW IT!!! That is where the condition lies. "If you can see me when am being taken!". It is in the invisible that such possibility dwells! Elijah was saying, "To the physical, it is hard!, but to the invisible, it is possible!!!" The mantle was a secondary entity not the primary. That was why verse 13 says "He took up ALSO the mantle of Elijah that fell from him". The mantle was an additional not the main thing. The main thing was SEEING THE INVISIBLE!

God told Abraham in Genesis 13:14-15 "Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art, northward and southward, eastward and westward. For all the land which thou SEE, to thee and your seed will I give it!". Whatever you can see, you can possess! Whatever you can see in the invisible has the ability to be a reality in your life! In the invisible lies the power, authority and REALITY!

The physical or the visible does not accommodate what is true . Why? Because the things that are physical are TEMPORAL. And anything that is temporal is not true! Over the time, it will fade! But Truth doesn't fade! The only realm that is true is the invisible! For the things that are invisible are permanent!
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 "For our LIGHT AFFLICTION, which is but FOR A MOMENT, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are SEEN ARE TEMPORAL; but the things which are NOT SEEN ARE ETERNAL."

The visible; afflictions, pains, agony, sufferings and those circumstances that surrounds you, they are not just temporal, they are also not true and in them lies no power! Only the invisible is ETERNAL; permanent, full of reality and power!

The promises of God in his words are invisible, yet they are eternal! They are true and the TRUTH! They are full of realities. John 6:63 "the words that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT and they are LIFE". The words are first SPIRIT(invisible) and then in them lies LIFE(full of power and reality)

Lastly, we have heard many times that your circumstances doesn't define you! It's true. But the reasons why it seems as if we are still seeing the effects of our circumstances is because we are focusing on them(which is visible) and we have neglected the invisible! The invisible; the word of God and his realities should be our focus! John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have OVERCOME THE WORLD". 2 Corinthians 2:14 "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to TRIUMPH IN CHRIST, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."

We have victory and triumph in Christ, we are more than conquerors! And we have overcome the world through CHRIST  because he that is born of God overcomes the world (1 John 5:4) BUT we must learn to fix our complete gaze on the invisible and stop fixing our gaze on what is visible to us!(our physical circumstances or results). For whatever you behold, you will become! If you keep beholding your pains and circumstances, you will keep becoming more of it. But if you decide to behold God and his words, you will keep becoming what his promises for your life!

In the invisible lies the reality! In the invisible lies every possibilities, In the invisible lies the TRUTH! See the invisible!!!
